a wish away

A Wish Away Program Program-
Angels with Blue Jeans (ABJ) hope to improve the human experience for those who suffer from life threatening medical conditions by empowering with faith and hope. We lives by mobilizing the caring power of people to care for one another.

Through consistent advocacy, stewardship and productive partnerships, we will deliver highly effective programs that enable those undergoing crisis or chronic illness to regain strength, mend spirits and become families again.

A Wish Away Program grants final wishes to adults
suffering life-limiting illness. Our focus is on providing
those at the end of life’s journey with a sense of resolution
and completion. We provide a non-traditional, palliative form
of healthcare. Although there is no cure for the catastrophic
illnesses afflicting the lives of our dream recipients, we
help by improving the quality of their lives in way that
medicine cannot.

The One Wish Away Program focus is on providing those who are struggling with a diagnosis of a terminal illness and those who are at the end of life’s journey with a sense of resolution and completion. We hope to assist individuals and families with:

• Assist in finding a cure and raising awareness.
• Help provide needs for the terminally ill participants,
• Help provide religious conform and counsel
• Assist in needs for funerals

Angels with Blue Jeans, Inc. (ABJ)   Rescued Animal Program is a community based program. The Program will aggressively assist animal rescue and shelter within the San Gabriel Valley/Los Angeles County by providing needed supplies.

Most pets that arrive at shelters and rescues are frightened in their new surroundings. And sadly, many are forced to sit and sleep on hard cement floors that are hot in the summer and cold in the winter, since shelters and rescues don't normally have the budget to supply soft bedding. Furthermore, The Compassion Action Institute in New York did a study and determined that shelter animals given blankets and comforters feel more relaxed, happy and secure. Being comfortable in a home-like setting increases their chances of being adopted.
Shelters can go through thousands of blankets and towels each month and depend on donations from the public--so here is where we come in. Our campaign is collecting the necessities the animal shelters need.

Eleonora's Story
This is a story of a Mother. A mother, a wife and a sibling who help take care of her brother and sisters.
Eleonora was born November 18, 1935 in Indonesia. Growing up she enjoyed being with her brother(1) and sisters (6) but at times it was very difficult and challenging. Eleonora faced the horrors of WWII with the occupation of Japan over Indonesia. She and her family were In prison camp until 1945. She later found the love of her life, was married and moved to Holland. She and her husband started a family while he was in the Dutch Military. Then Eleonora migrated to the United State and settled in California. Eleonora and her husband Hendrick had another daughter. We grew together as a family and share many years of happiness.

My Mother and I were very close. She shared many stories growing up and living with a large family of seven. She was a very kind and loving person towards everyone and a fantastic cook. Being the oldest, she was very responsible and bestowed those qualities to me and my sisters.

One day in 1991 my Mother had a small lump in her left breast and that is how everything started with Cancer spreading all over her body. She was determined to look forward and went through many choices to find a possible cure.

This is why my Husband and I started working to help others.
